Tire fire pit – one of the best materials and probably the most inexpensive once around that you could use to make them are tractor tires. You could virtually get one from any junkyard and always remember not to steal it so that you would avoid trouble from cops. Now, how would you use a tractor tire to make the fire pit? First you must find a surface in your backyard that is flat and even. Place the tractor tire in the spot that you found. Before moving on, make sure that it is pretty much far away from any materials that are easily flammable. Things like fuel, wood and paper and other stuff that are flammable should be out of sight. Also, keep it away from your house. If you happen to have concrete surface in your backyard, that would be perfect. Lay down the tire, surround it with bricks or stones and fill it with fire.
Add Some Water: For those of you who live in a landlocked area, bodies of water might not exactly be a hop, skip, and a jump away. Instead of longing for an ocean or a lake, bring a mini-version to you by putting in a fountain or a pond. A fountain or a pond can enhance your backyard, giving it a watery essence it wouldn’t otherwise have. These might not be much like the ocean – they won’t allow you to snorkel or surf – but, look on the bright side: you won’t have to worry about sharks.
Entertainment: You can continue to enjoy gatherings in your backyard as dusk rolls in, instead of everyone packing up and heading inside at the first sign of nighttime. Everyone can relax outside in your beautifully landscaped backyard and enjoy themselves under the star-lit sky. Imagine sitting around your bamboo tiki-bar with a colorful array of stringed lights cascading along the roof and counter-top. In addition to that, little lights that gently illuminate along your patio and walkway so guests can see where they are going as they journey and marvel through your landscape. What an extraordinary and gratifying ambiance! Everyone will love getting together in your backyard.
The exotic, tropical look of your backyard resort will be achieved by combining a wide variety of shapes, forms, colors, and textures. Banana plants with their large dramatic leaves, beautiful foliage plants like coleus and gingers, open and airy ornamental grasses, beautiful climbing vines, and tropical blooming plants all have a place. What may surprise you is that there is also a place for many of our more cold-hardy and traditional landscape plants. Uniformity and normality are out; randomness and whimsy are in.
There are many different styles of backyard fireplaces available. The chiminea, also known as a Mexican fireplace, has an opening into a large belly where you build the fire. It has a tall chimney helping with the ventilation of the smoke up and away from people sitting around it. The chiminea is portable, so a lot of people enjoy it for this reason. Sometimes you will find these backyard fireplaces sometimes have an opening that goes all the way through the construct rather than just in front and sometimes they even have openings that wrap around or near it. You will find chimineas that are made of clay, cast iron, aluminum or copper.
